All this talk of Bound For Glory is bound to bring out our World Heavyweight Champion. Bully Ray struts to the ring with Brooke by his side and confronts the TNA President. He admits that he might not be on “Team Dixie”, but he’s on Team $50,000. Bully agrees to take out Styles and take the briefcase to the bank.

Brooke is shown backstage taking selfies when Gail Kim approaches her and trys to convince her that they should work together in their match this Sunday, Brooke responds by saying she will not help her and that its every Knockouts for themselves.

When it came time for the contract signing, emotions were running high. At one podium stood A.J. Styles. At the other was Bully Ray. Dixie Carter looked on while Jeremy Borash presided over the ceremony. The World Heavyweight Champion was the first to sign. Once he did, it allowed him the luxury of talking trash. We get a brief wrestling history lesson and resume reminder before Bully reiterated that he’d be retaining the World Heavyweight Championship at Bound For Glory. No ifs, ands, or buts. From Sabin to Sting, the Aces and Eights President has squashed them all and Sunday, Styles can join that list.

ODB vs. Gail Kim vs. Brooke

Thanks to Lei’D Tapa last week, we were still left without a #1 Contender to the Knockouts Championship. This week, Velvet Sky and Brooke Tessmacher set to make that right. While Velvet held her own, Brooke showed some of the new aggression she’s picked up since becoming a member of Aces and Eights. With Chris Sabin badgering her from ringside, Sky never seemed to gain focus. In the end, his advice distracted her and Tessmacher was able to roll her up from behind for the pin.

Ironically for A.J. Styles, that’s when the real beating began. Bully Ray rushed the ring and kept both Garrett and Knux backed away. With that, he took out a chain and proceeded to whip Styles with it. When A.J. did manage to get to his feet, he’s tossed from the ring. The World Heavyweight Champion gets into the face of his incapacitated Bound For Glory challenger as Impact comes to a close.

When Brooke and Velvet Sky showed up next for their match, the introductions were barely over when a third theme song began to play. Familiar from her video last week Lei D’Tapa appeared on the ramp. Wild and incensed, this apparent newcomer to the Knockouts Division took to the ring and went on the attack. While Brooke managed to sneak away before it began, Velvet was left to catch a brutal beating. Even the referee was afraid to step in and Sky truly paid the price. With Lei D’Tapa in the mix, there are more than a few Knockouts who are on their way to some sleepless nights.

When the main event came around, Bully Ray was in the ring with the last person in the world you’d expect to be bullied, Samoa Joe. The Samoan Submission Machine was anything but intimidated by The World Heavyweight Champion’s big talk and went toe-to-toe with everything he had. While Ray’s Aces and Eights partner Taz on commentary tried to downplay Joe’s legendary submission skills, Bully was fully aware of the dangerous hands he could find himself trapped in. He pulled some of his usual dirty tricks and underhanded tactics to stay a step ahead. Then, in a moment of poor timing that the challenger will no doubt always remember, referee Earl Hebner found himself knocked to the canvas…just moments before Joe locked Bully in a choke and got a tap out. But no referee means no submission victory.

That’s when, in a moment of equally bad timing, Bully Ray plastered Joe in the head with a chain just as Earl started to regain his composure. He called for the bell and the World Heavyweight Champion is disqualified. It might not be a submission, but it’s a moral victory.

After the bell, an irate Bully Ray went on the attack. He jumped Samoa Joe at ringside and pulled back the protective cover from the ringside floor. Then, just as he was setting Joe up for a piledriver, Bully found himself covered in A.J. Styles. The Phenomenal One, thought to have left the building earlier in the night, was here all along. He jumped the World Heavyweight Champion and left him laying. Security chased Styles into the crowd, where he took time to celebrate with the fans.

Impact starts off with our World Heavyweight Champion. Accompanied by Brooke, Bully Ray speaks about his new found fondness for Dixie Carter’s speaking skills. After her verbal beatdown of A.J. Styles last week, Ray is sitting pretty. As he sees it, Styles is now off his game as he heads into their World Heavyweight Title Match at Bound For Glory. Dixie has tunneled into the Phenomenal One’s brain and messed with his head. The outcome? Another sure-fire victory for the Aces and Eights President at Bound For Glory. Who’s that? You know. Just in case you don’t, Bully asks.

Bully’s no gardener and knows the cheap shot was directed at Brooke. He warns Knux to watch his mouth and grows irate when the crowd joins in with a chant. At this point, Ray takes control of the situation and begins to make a few things clear. First of all, he’s always willing to take out anyone he feels doesn’t help Aces and Eights. He bounced D-Lo, Anderson, and even his own brother Devon. Tonight, he might get to do it again. You see, our main event tonight is Knux, Wes Brisco, and Garrett Bischoff of Aces and Eights against the Main Event Mafia. If Aces and Eights win, we celebrate.

Oh, but if they lose, the person who takes the fall will take a hike. Bully Ray will bring the hammer down and fire them from the group.
